Peanut Butter Jelly Time

What is the food that your body craves the most the first week of cutting back?

Every single time, without a doubt, I want to nibble PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY sandwiches. Not healthy ones, but ones that have probably 3-4 servings of peanut butter and jelly in between fresh white Wonder bread.

During my most successful weight loss adventure allllllllllllll the way back in 2001, I ate pb&j's all of the time. They were much more controlled and disciplined, and not quite as tasty, but they worked....2 slices of 100% wheat bread with one small scoop of reduced fat pb with 1 small scoop of no sugar strawberry preserves.

Well, I am back and still going strong. First week of being back in control, and being focused on staying this way. It has been WAY to easy to go astray lately, so I am working on a list of goals and reasons WHY I am here.

  1. Great blog! You keep at this!! One pound at a time. Fast forward your mind to July . . . 20 pounds lighter!

And just from personal experience, I recommend buying some WW sweet treats. Throw them in the freezer and eat them as your snacks. It'll keep you from over-indulging. I think it's fine to have a treat. Without them we feel cheated.

    Good luck! I'll be watching!

  2. If the peanut crop ever fails I will die. Something that might help is my favorite breakfast - a toasted piece of Ezekiel bread (it is in the freezer section, no flour, made of sprouted grains), put your serving of pnb on it and then sugar free syrup over all - yum, yum, yum.

  3. I hate how easy it is to get off track. Sometimes it is the smallest slip that leads to a week of what was I thinking. I am having the kind of week the requires I think about everything before I put it in my mouth - or even enter the kitchen for that matter.

    Glad I found your blog!

  4. Hi there! I'm glad I found your blog. My name is Katie also, and I, too, made a goal to lose 100 pounds in a year--I lost 125, and now I'm doing my best to maintain :)
I was just about to make a PB&J for lunch! I haven't had one in a long time, but I had a craving today.

  5. I'm glad to see you are back... missed you and I know you can do it. If I gave up everytime I slipped, I wouldn't be why I am today. Keep with it. If you mess up, dust yourself off and get back into it. Never stop and you win! Love you!
